Why Wilmersdorf, you ask? Because in 2016 when we opened our first space on Feurigstrasse in Schöneberg, there was a similarly large coworking void on Google Maps. That previous void is well and truly filled now, but in coworking terms, Wilmersdorf is basically what Schöneberg was five years ago. Like back then, however, Wilmersdorf, and in particular, the beautiful next-door Kiez around Güntzelstrasse, is definitely underserved in terms of coworking and understated when it comes to quality of life, with a quiet charm and some fantastic hidden gems dotted around the area.
One of those hidden gems is our new space. Much like how we feel our other spaces are Schöneberg’s best kept secret, our new space is so unassuming on the outside, you’ll scarcely believe your eyes when you see the mezzanine level, the glass walls and the giant chandelier we inherited.
Located centrally between the underground stations of U Güntzelstrasse (U9 line with the beautiful Güntzelkiez just next door) and U Berliner Strasse (U7 +U9 lines) our new street-side space with 8-meter-high ceilings is a beautiful, but very different addition to tuesday’s portfolio of spaces. Once we’ve ironed out all the kinks (stairs to nowhere anyone?), we’re certain that 250 square meters of uniqueness will justify our venturing beyond the safe confines of our Schöneberg home. Indeed, the industrial look offers our members another very different environment to choose from, with its proximity to our existing spaces (a six-minute bike ride from our Belziger space) making it a conceivable alternative if members wish to switch things up for an afternoon!
As with most things we do at tuesday, we’ll be inviting our members to come by for a day to test out our new coworking new space and to give us their honest feedback before we open to the general public. You see, Bundesallee 187 has been in operation as a coworking space for a number of months already, but due to Corona and possibly also due to some questionable interior design decision-making, we’ve been asked to come in. So what you see in the photos may change. Do we keep the chandelier? Do we take out the glass offices downstairs? All things that can be done in the space of a few hours. In all honesty, we don’t see anything that will stymy our plan to open our doors as “tuesday coworking – Bundesallee” on 1 July 2021! That’s right, in two weeks from now!
So keep your eyes and ears peeled for announcements of our soft-opening and if you’re a member, make sure you’re around in the next couple of weeks. We’ll offer two or three dates where you can come try the space on for size and see how it fits. Everyone else who’s curious, should get in touch to get your own tour and free trial day of our Wilmersdorf space.
