Chandelier Sessions with Ruth Mac

Hot off her hot support for Hot Chip, we welcome Ruth Mac for the final Chandelier Session of 2022 at our Bundesallee event space this Saturday, 10 December.

About Ruth Mac
Ruth Mac is a Berlin-based singer-songwriter originally hailing from the west coast of Ireland. Drawing influence in equal measure from the folkstresses of the seventies and contemporary indie-rock, Mac’s arresting and soulful vocals lie gracefully on top of catchy hooks and lush textured guitars.

Not quite rock, not quite soul nor folk, Mac finds her own sound somewhere at the intersection. There, she combines effortless melodies with lyrics steeped in sentimentality. From the death of the family pet to much-loved sofas, Mac’s idiosyncratic lyrics celebrate the trials and tribulations of the everyday.
Mac’s debut EP Living Room was released last year on Beth Shalom Records and was followed by a busy year of shows in the UK, Ireland and Germany, including a support slot for Hot Chip on their Freakout/Release tour.
