I’m suspicious, tuesday, what exactly is this “Startup” “Safari”?
Well, from May 8-9th 2018 startups, investors and accelerators all over Berlin will open their doors and host tech talks, workshops and all sorts of networking events as part of the “Berlin Startup Safari”.
OK, so how does it work? During the SAFARI, startups, investors, accelerators and corporates all over Berlin host a session of 90 minutes in their own offices. Participants purchase their ticket via berlin.startupsafari.com and can then sign up for their favourite sessions once they are published. For its ninth edition, Startup SAFARI has chosen “Tracks” as its theme. For example, FinTech with startups like Fincompare and Brickblock, or the (Net)work & Funding Track with hosts like Startupbootcamp and Design Offices. I’m sure it makes sense to somebody 😉 With these “tracks”, attendees can create their individual SAFARI even more easily. The schedule is rounded off with parties and networking events that combine fun and relaxation with socialising and expanding your personal business network.
Everybody’s welcome
The Startup SAFARI is not only aimed at students and young, promising founders, but also employers and managers of traditional companies. Jobseekers have the opportunity to sign up for free and get matched with recruiting companies. As these kind of events go, it’s actually fairly cheap (€9.90 Early Bird ticket), so no-one is really priced out of it.
The city becomes the location
Startup SAFARI, however, is not your typical conference. The whole program is spread out across the city and the talks take place in the offices of the session hosts. Participants can roam from one location to the next and end up going on a safari through the city. See? Clever.
