5 Ways Berliners Can Help Ukrainians

Hi there,

Since a lot of tuesday’s members have been sharing various ways to help support Ukraine in our Slack group, on their Social Media and in chats around the office, we thought it would be a good idea to put together a list so that we can all have access to the information and participate, help or donate in whichever way we can. Here we go:

1. ZK/U Berlin is accepting donations via PayPal that are going towards helping their colleagues from CETKA – an independent platform of cultural workers, artists and activists – and beyond, to get to the safety of EU borders and then further to Berlin. You can also donate very easily via this QR code:

2. We, tuesday coworking, are offering displaced Ukrainians and exchange students who were based in the Ukraine free workspace to help with their personal coordination activities. Make sure to let us know in case you know of someone! Message us at info@tuesdaycoworking.com.

3. Do you have an extra bed or a car?
tuesday member, Michael shared this link on his Instagram where you can sign up in case you have space to host Ukrainian refugees arriving in Berlin or if you can help transport them to their accommodation from the Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof Berlin.

4. Joost, also a member of our community, shared with us this website from an organisation that is also helping Ukrainian refugees arriving in Berlin Hauptbahnhof find accomodation:

“They send an email about the arriving trains that arrive at Hauptbahnhof this evening. Apparently, one can go there and volunteer to provide accommodation and it is possible to organise everything with the organisation on site at the train station. The trains arrive at 17:30, 18:30 and 22:30. On the first subterranean floor (-1) of the train station you can go to the “pick up” centre where everything can be organised. There will be signs to direct you to the pickup centre. It would be helpful to bring a sign saying how many people you can offer accommodation for which time. German Railways, Karuna eG and other organisations will be there to help.”

5. And last but not least, Naomi, also a member, showed us yesterday that Berlin-based artist Roy Draws is selling these lovely prints and donating the full profit to two charities: one supporting Ukraine Pride, Queer Community and LGBTQI military and the other is helping abandoned animals out of the Ukraine. You can pay how much you want!

Lots of love to everyone
