Discussion Experiment: What will artificial intelligence NOT change?

Invitation posted by tuesday member, Igor Don.

I don’t know how you feel about the rapid development of AI, but I find it deeply disorienting.

It seems obvious that this technology is on the brink of radically changing our everyday lives. At the same time, some voices argue that there is far too much hype and panic surrounding it.

And even if we come to the conclusion that nothing fundamental will change for now, will AI development ever slow down again — or are we, from now on, bound to live with the alarming feeling that huge changes are just around the corner?

In our next discussion, I’d like us to approach this question from a different angle and find some direction by asking: What will probably not change for now? Are there things we can count on – things that might offer us solid ground in the future, no matter how AI develops?

As always, we’ll use experimental methods to structure our discussion.

There will be two discussions, which will be independent of each other. You can join either one or both.
