Coworking in the Sticks? Coconat!

Feel like getting away from it all? The bustle of big bad Berlin getting to you? Yearning for some fresh air and that green green grass you remember from your wild days as a youth growing carrots in Montana? No? Yeah you do, sure you do!Then why not do what I just did and head out to Brandenburg for a few days. More specifically to Bad Belzig train station (€8.50 one-way) and then on to “Klein Glien” (note: you can use the same ticket for the bus), about an hour away to the south-west of Berlin and stay at Coconat, partner of tuesday coworking.
At Coconat you will find a space to cowork, to vacation and to retreat. A “workation retreat”, they call it.
The founders of Coconat (Community and Concentration in Nature) have created a place where you can both kick back & relax AND get work done in one of their many coworking rooms. Tip: The library not only looks amazing, it’s a quality option for some good old-fashioned “working” too!
You don’t need to worry about your next meal either: They’ve got you covered with three regional organic vegetarian (or optionally vegan) meals prepared a day. The shared tables break down the barriers and make it easy for you to get to know your fellow retreaters.
Once you let the food settle, why not jump into their houseside….. can you call it a pool? It’s more like a large pond, but on hot days I imagine it will be very hard to resist. We visited when it was close to freezing, and so opted for their newly built sauna instead.
Another bonus for the approaching summer is the currently under construction outdoor oven, which should be ready to assuage all your pizza-related needs very soon.
And hey, if getting co-drunk is more your bag, you can do that too at the Coconat bar! Probably best to stay the night then, just make sure you’ve booked your room beforehand.
NOTE: Members of tuesday coworking can cowork at Coconat for free! Just be nice and maybe

buy a meal or give a tip!
