2025: Our Coworking Year in Review

A year of shattered records, shattered deals and shattered hearts.

Things started off with a bang (that’s the sound of our hearts smashing against the ground) as our long-serving Community Managers, Valeria & Janae both announced their departures from tuesday. Janae was moving back to England, while Valeria announced she’d be taking maternity leave for a year. We had to work fast, but managed to get in the wonderful Ambre for Janae inside a couple of weeks. Thankfully we were able to plan more when it came to finding a replacement for Valeria. Enter Ambre (February) and Maike (May)!

And with the addition of Maike, we finally have a native German-speaker on the team, making us even more international! 😛

With Maike and Ambre taking care of the communities, I was left to work on three major “biz-dev” projects. One was a possible takeover and rebrand deal. Ultimately, I decided against it as a convertible note for selling a share of tuesday wasn’t in our interest and frankly felt overengineered for the size of the investment. The second was the unexpected expansion of our coworking headquarters at Belziger Strasse. A no-brainer really. But here, again, Berlin foremen and their non-fulfilment of project promises mean the expansion has dragged on quite a bit and may only be fully finished at the end of Q1 2026.
The third project was the addition of an event space in Mitte. Despite multiple meetings, this too never quite got off the ground, partly due to our strained finances with the expansion, and partly due to the event space’s owner changing the conditions. So there was a lot of time and energy expended with very little to show for it, but I’ve learned a lot and gained a mentor in the process (thanks to our partners at Mentor Lane)!

November saw Ambre depart with our best wishes, while her friend, Laura, took over her duties at our Neukölln space.

And our highlight of 2025?

Well, between the film screenings, Val’s baby, the Gezellig Sessions, the PrevYou Short Film Festival, Igor’s multiple Discussion Experiments, a variety of business workshops, our Ping Pong tournament and three pot luck dinners, it’s hard to nail down just one highlight, so I’ll have to skip it this year.

But 10 May 2026 will mark 10 years of tuesday and this year’s celebration will be a real doozy. All going well, I won’t have the same struggles pinpointing a singular highlight this time next year 😉

So, it’s time for those shattered records I mentioned at the start:
Once more, I present to you the year that was 2025 (up to 29 December) in KPI-speak.
Pull out your magnifying glasses 😉

The addition of our Düsseldorfer Strasse space towards the end of 2024 was only really felt on our books after March 2025, when we sold a number of team offices in just a very short period of time. That, in combination with an explosion in the number of virtual office memberships, means our membership count jumped from its peak of 254 members in July 2024 to a huge 394 in November 2025. That’s 55% more concurrent memberships.

Annual Recurring Revenue is up 29% from €411k in 2024 to €530k for 2025.

Discounts are more or less the same as we once again enabled over €28k worth of savings on membership fees with our 19% Gender Pay Gap Discount for female freelancers and our 100% discount for (not just Ukrainian) refugees

The outlook for 2026 is one of more records shattering. We’ll be looking to fill the six new offices at our expanded Belziger Strasse space and welcoming Valeria back to the team in October, in time for some more Christmas karaoke!

That’s all from me. We wish you a great start to 2026 and look forward to seeing some new faces joining us at our four spaces across Berlin! If you’re interested in seeing what we’re all about, why not enjoy a free trial day on us!

Best,

John, Maike & Laura
